Your Guides Lynne & Steve

We’ve been living in Asheville for ten years or so, and have gotten to know this charming town quite well. We’re happy to have this space to write about some of our favorite restaurants, stores, sights, sounds, hikes, hoedowns and happenings in and around Asheville, and we’re going to keep up the commentary when we’ve got something to say.

But we’re also here to give pointers to our guests. It’s like a little concierge service. Tell us what you’re interested in, and we’ll try to point you in the right direction. The best iced latte? A place to ride a horse? The best time of day to eat at 12 Bones? The best guess about the weather? We like to think that we’ve got the pulse of Asheville, and we’re happy to share it with our guests. We always say that this town is just small enough – we know a whole lot of folks around here, who are involved in a whole lot of diverse pursuits, but Asheville’s big enough so that we keep meeting new people every day. We stay on top of things and we think that makes us a good resource for visitors.

If you are interested in taking home a souvenir of your time in Asheville, feel free to stop by Lynne’s studio around the corner from the Urban Nest, “Working Girls Studio”, located at 30 Battery Park, Suite 200 (near the Grove Arcade). Lynne sells her colorful and zany prints of Asheville and her studio mate, Eli Corbin, sells her paintings. Since Lynne isn’t always in the studio, call or email to make an appointment.
